Since the launch of the Ukrainian Maritime Corridor in 2023, 100 million tonnes of grain cargo have been handled through Ukraine’s seaports. This milestone demonstrates Ukraine’s resilience and its ability to maintain stable agricultural exports despite the full-scale war and regular enemy strikes on port infrastructure.
The Ukrainian Maritime Corridor was established at the initiative of the President of Ukraine as a strategic instrument for restoring exports and supporting global food security. Its operation has become possible through systematic state coordination and the resilience of the maritime sector under constant risk.
The corridor operates through coordinated interaction among central executive authorities, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, supervisory services, port operators, logistics companies, and shipping companies. All participants in the process work under heightened readiness, ensuring prompt cargo clearance, safety control, and vessel support.
An especially important contribution to the corridor’s stable operation is made by the Defence Forces of Ukraine, which protect port infrastructure and shipping from constant enemy attacks.
Special gratitude is also extended to port workers, who ensure the daily operation of Ukraine’s seaports under wartime threats. It is thanks to their professionalism and sense of responsibility on the ground that Ukraine continues to fulfil its role in global markets and support stable food supplies.
