A working meeting was held in Warsaw within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea.
The event focused on strategic directions for sustainable development of Ukraine’s port infrastructure and on presenting the report “Master Plan and Feasibility Study for the Reconstruction of Ukrainian Ports.”
The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority was represented at the meeting by Oleksii Panasiuk, Head of the International Relations Department.
Implementation of the proposed plan will support Ukraine’s maritime sector, enhance integration into European transport chains, and strengthen the country’s role as a key transport hub in the Black Sea region.
During the discussion, special attention was given to the restoration of port infrastructure, the modernisation of specialised fleet, and the introduction of electronic port management systems.Following the meeting, the parties signed a protocol confirming their readiness to jointly explore opportunities for implementing the outlined projects, including the search for funding sources and identification of practical steps for their realisation.
