USPA Discusses Workplace Safety and Social Protection for Port Workers

Last week, workplace safety specialists from the branches of the SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” took part in an online workshop meeting. Among those attending were representatives of the Southern Interregional Office of the State Labour Service of Ukraine and the Trade Union of Maritime Transport Workers of Ukraine.

The participants considered three main topics: prevention of workplace injuries, new requirements for employee medical examinations under Order No. 1393 of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, issued in September 2025, and social guarantees for personnel under martial law.

USPA traditionally pays particular attention to workplace safety and regularly organises such events.

Following the seminar, the parties confirmed their shared intention to strengthen oversight of compliance with workplace safety standards and to ensure proper social protection for port workers. USPA’s systematic work in the field of workplace safety reflects the enterprise’s responsible approach to safeguarding port workers and fulfilling its social obligations to employees even under wartime conditions.
