USPA Presents Port Sector Recovery Plans at the Southern Ukrainian Forum

At the 8th Southern Ukrainian Forum, during the session “Transport and Logistics,” the SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” presented key challenges and strategic directions for the recovery of the port sector.

Vyacheslav Kharkavenko, Operational Adviser to the Head of USPA, emphasised that despite significant infrastructure losses caused by the war, the enterprise continues to ensure the stable operation of Ukraine’s seaports.

“Our main task is to restore port infrastructure and fleet. This will be achieved through our own resources as well as with the support of international funds and grant programmes,” he noted.

The main topics of discussion included the functioning of the Ukrainian Maritime Corridor, development of Danube ports, operation of the Bystre Canal, and digitalisation of port services.Kharkavenko also highlighted that it is essential for USPA to maintain constant feedback from market participants. This allows port development plans to be formulated in line with real needs of the industry and to enhance efficiency of management decisions.
