The State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” will procure 38 additional mobile shelters for port industry employees. The new shelters are scheduled to be installed by the end of 2025.
Currently, Ukrainian ports already have stationary protective structures and a number of mobile shelters. However, the scale of port territories, specific nature of operations, and short flight time of ballistic missiles require additional protective measures.
The mobile shelters will be deployed across the ports of Great Odesa, the Danube ports, and the Mykolaiv region. Recently, the Odesa Port also received 10 additional modular shelters installed with the support of the Charity Fund “The Ukraine Foundation”. These are located directly next to workplaces, allowing port staff to quickly obtain protection.
“The safety of our employees is a key condition for the stable operation of ports. The new shelters will enable rapid response to danger, reduce the time needed to access protective facilities, and safeguard the people whose work underpins the daily functioning of critical infrastructure,” the USPA stated.
