The “Delta-Pilot” branch of the SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” held regular working meeting with representatives of maritime agencies operating in the Danube region ports. The event is part of an ongoing series of consultations between USPA and the business community — similar meetings have previously been held with agents from the ports of Great Odesa.
These consultations are part of USPA’s systematic efforts to improve services and adapt operations to current market needs. During the meeting, participants discussed the further optimisation of pilotage services, enhancement of service quality, and practical issues related to client interaction.
One of the key areas of development remains the renewal of the technical fleet of the pilotage service. A significant portion of the fleet requires modernisation due to wear and tear, as well as difficulties in sourcing spare parts.
This ongoing dialogue enables USPA to gain a clear understanding of business needs and to tailor its services accordingly. In turn, this will contribute to an increase in vessel calls, higher cargo throughput, and enhanced competitiveness of Ukrainian ports. USPA remains committed to systematically improving pilotage services and is open to constructive dialogue with the business community, with a continued focus on implementing modern solutions.
