The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority took part in the Poland–Ukraine Business Forum, organised by the Ministry of Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).
During the panel “Transport Corridors, Transport, Logistics”, USPA Deputy Head, Vyacheslav Kharkavenko, presented the strategic directions for the development of Ukrainian seaports under martial law.
He emphasised that despite systematic attacks by the aggressor, Ukraine’s seaports continue to ensure uninterrupted operation of the Ukrainian Maritime Corridor. Since its launch in August 2023, more than 5,000 vessels have been processed and 136 million tonnes of cargo handled, including 83 million tonnes of grain. Ukrainian products are supplied to markets in 54 countries worldwide.
Special attention was given to achievements in port digitalisation, particularly the implementation of the DocPort system, which automates key logistics operations and enhances the efficiency of port services.
USPA, together with Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, continues to work on attracting foreign investment, implementing infrastructure projects, and securing international partners for the recovery and modernisation of port infrastructure.
“Some of the projects are being implemented with our own resources, but the scale of destruction requires international support for rapid recovery. We invite Polish partners to join in the development of Ukraine’s port industry,” emphasised Vyacheslav Kharkavenko.
